Lowering Dodge B250 Van 2"
hello guys,
first of all happy nu year to all of ya....iīm new in this forum so please excuse me if i do something wrong
Im not sure if someon already made a thread about that ..but i couldnīt find any..
i got a 94 dodge b250 Van 5.2 v8 ..i like to drop it a little bit front and rear. but i dont wanna cut the coil spring ..i think the best way to keep the comfort is to hook up new spindles in the front and lowering blocks in the back...the blocks aint the problem but i cant find any drop spindles in the whole internet....some guys say that dodge dakota spindles may fit.
does anyone has some Xp with that?
would be very great if you can gimmi some informations
cheers
alex

I read all the same stuff you did: word in the forums is that if you have a grinder you can make the dropped dakota spindles work.
When I spoke with the suspension pro (at great length) what he told me was "for the front end, all you can do is bag it, nothing else will work". I don't really want to go that route so if you find out different, I'd really love to know. Looking to drop mine 3 or maybe 4 inches.

yes i heared about the bagged action...but i dont wanna air ride my van too...im pretty sure there is another way to drop it...i would like to know the way the japanese guys did it...a few weeks ago i found a picture of a dropped japanese b250...the suspension looked very stock ...also had enough gap between the control arm and frame...so i am sure there will be a way to hook on spindles from a dakota or ram truck as long you have the 5 lug rotors on...

The only guy I could find who tried it says he gave up on that idea. Seems you're stuck using the Dakota front brakes and they are too small for this application. IMO the stock brakes on these aren't exactly stellar. I think you'll have to cut the springs which will make the suspension stiffer. So maybe cut a set of front coil springs from the lightest version, say a 6 cylinder B150(1500) cargo van with no options?
Pretty sure this page has the is the only lowered Dajiban suspension view I've ever seen, and its rear.

The rear sway bars are still available online.

oh these vans are looking so damn good luv it !
i think if i cut a small piece from a spring the camber of the van will be negativ..im not sure if there is a option to adjust it that much ...thats the reason why i like to use drops spindles...i cant find any pictures of a b250 spindle ....so if i have one i can match it with the dakota spindles...a friend of mine has some used dodge parts dakota and ram truck stuff ... i bet there will be a way to interchange with a bit of using a drill

I was hoping to find a Tortion bar suspension like the 69 valiant and VW eurovans we owned. I liked being able to adjust the ride height with the turn of a wrench. Dropping it an inch or so would be spot on. I have an air dam coming from Kurk at customvans.com to round it out.
