Default 98 B1500 blend door actuator problem

Hello All,

I've owned my B1500 since 2003 and been without ac and heat since around 2007. It only has front ac. I've just spend some money and time to get it working again (replaced the compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, drier, but had to replace the ac actuator p/n 04885296AA. My old one was making a whiring noise. When I put the new actuator on, it connects up easy enough, but it seems that the actuator wants to open and close the door more than the blend door will physically move. Now I am 99.9% sure that I correctly fitted the new blend door and don;t see anyway to adjust the actuator. What am I missing?

Thanks,
David

Normal. The actuator applies a bit of pressure to the door, to be sure it seals good.
