I would expect the vans work the same way.
Interesting, I'll have to look in my Ram Van FSM when I get a few minutes to see if it's different from the pickups.

I appreciate any/all help I can get. I figured I'd swap the trans speed sensor out because it's only $20 and then go from there.

I just checked the wiring to the diff sensor for the 5V and I got nothing. Ignition was on but motor was not running.

Also, I don't see any evidence of a speed sensor in the trans. Here's a pic of the drivers side.

Saw that but the sensor I bought from AutoZone is way too big to fit. Looks like I got the wrong part.

Is there a speedo fuse or relay I should check? I looked but don't see one under the hood or on the drivers side of the dash. What am I missing.... before checking the wiring.

No fuses on that circuit. Just the main one for the cluster as a whole. (if there even is one for that.) If anything on the cluster works, it's getting power.

Pulled the sensor and it's not speed. Looks like a trans fluid low sensor from what I can tell. Here's a pic of the darn thing.

Wiring looks good from my quick inspection. PCM? How do I verify if the PCM is getting a signal from the diff? Considering I'm not getting a signal at the connector I'd think the PCM is suspect.
