Need to know if the gas tank from the 1987 is the same size as the 1989 b250 5.2 I need to replace my tank and i cannot find a tank for my 1989 b250 5.2 anywhere only 81-87 any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Not yet I am going to tomorrow though I already drained all of the gas out it was dark and orange from the inlet hose purse is a metal pieces and it was rusted so tank had rusty gas all in it so I'm assuming the fuel pump got that stuff linked in it so im I'going to replace pump and strainer once i get tank out.

it's a 5.2 V8 with a 35 gallon tank
Part number (mopar) is 5217976
Unfortunately, I am unable to find one ANYWHERE. All the mopar sites show discontinued. (not really a surprise) I don't think even dorman makes a replacement for them any more.... May have to drop yours, and see if you can't patch it up. Might have a chat with a radiator shop, and see if they can do anything for you.
Good Luck......

Appreciate you checking. Have been looking for a while now and can't find anything either.
Have you heard of people patching plastic cracks like that? I understand fire liability is a big thing when it comes to patching. But I feel like it can be done well, no?
Other than that, have you heard of people having to resort to getting someone to build a custom tank?
