Question Powered Seat Motor - 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Van

Hi, I've been trying to find a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Van drivers side seat motor. What I am finding out is that t his motor is next to impossible to find. I can find it on OEM parts site but it's discontinued. I figured because it's older than 12 years and was a low volume part. However, the motor that controls the forward and back motion of the seat position is not operating. The other 2 motors are fine. So, I'm looking for some help to either find a suitable replacement, parts to rebuild the motor or any other solutions to fix the issue that I could do. I consider myself handy, so if I need to pulls the motor apart and clean / replace parts I can. However, I would like some guidance on what to expect and prepare for. I appreciate any help you can provide. I'm sure this won't be my last post as there's a ton that needs to be done to this thing.

Motor part number: W-5017647AA DRIVER POWER PEDESTAL DODGE VAN
Sticker on the side of the motor pack:8-82426 5709010 N 1 03069

Again, I appreciate any help you can offer.

That's the motors I keep coming across. Based on the way things looks, it won't work in the application I have. The motors I have are in a group of the that are in one pack. They are all connected by the same plastic housing. I'll take a picture this evening and post it for reference. I have had no luck finding it anywhere.

Exclamation Pictures of the motor and seat frame.

Here are some pictures of the motor. I've only found one other place that had a picture of it as an OEM part, but it was discontinued. If you guys know where I can get a replacement, I would be grateful. It would save a ton of time with re-engineering a solution.

Most of the replacement parts I look up for this model year look like the link below. Warning, it's a link to what I found on eBay.

MM, if the part number is not the current number the site will not show it. I have found this to be true in the many parts I've ordered. Dodge has probably changed that part # many times from 2003. I would call the dealership parts dept. and see if they can a least find the most current part number. Hopefully it will be a person that will work with you. The person I know at the dealer parts dept. says it does take a little effort to come with the most current parts number for older products.

I was not able to find anything like what you have there. May end up replacing the entire mount, like mmitchell has posted.

Guy's, i tooked the whole thing apart, it seems the motor it self is not the Problem. There is one Copper plate for every Motor (current limiter with heat). An this plate limits the current much to early... i made some tests with ice spray, as soon as this plate is cooled down, the motor is running again...

How did you fix this? Did you replace the Copper plate for every Motor (current limiter with heat)? How much work was this?
