Default 1999 B1500 Conversion Van - power sofa works intermittently

I'm puzzled. I bought a custom used 1999 B1500 Conversion Van off Craigslist. When test driving, I verified that the power sofa worked just fine via the switch in the back. I buy it, drive it home, turn the switch on, nothing. No humming/whizzing, the switch doesn't work at all.

I go inside for 20 minutes, come back out, it works. Five minutes later, doesn't work again. Repeat ad nauseam.

I unscrewed the switch plate and re-plugged the wiring, and also jiggled the fuse. No dice. Anything else I can do to troubleshoot?

May need to clean the contacts in the switch.... There likely isn't a wiring diagram for how those are supposed to work..... How many wires going to each switch? Do both of them exhibit the same behavior??

The contacts seem to be in good order. There are three wires going into each switch, and each one exhibits the same behavior. It makes me think there is something going on further down the line. Would it help to buy a voltmeter and test if the wires are receiving power?

I would expect that they work just like power windows...... and one wire will be powered, and the other two will go to the motor on the seat itself.... (and somewhere, it will find a ground.....) Wiring diagrams would be really nice, but, I doubt they will be in the factory manual. There might be a supplement for the conversion, but, I don't think I have ever actually seen one.....

In case anyone finds this thread later, it turned out to be a bad connection somewhere within the wiring of the van. My mechanic was able to fix it.

any advice on what kind of mechanic or what I should explain to the mechanic? I just bought a 1991 dodge ram van regency at an auction today and it looks like I’m having the same issue. It was working before I bought it and then boom the problem hit after it was mine. I wiggled around in that back of drivers seat fuse compartment but no success. The bench/couch is folded down for the time being! Maybe I will hit a bump and it work again!
