Likely the dodge 9.25 rear then. I should think that any van of the same body style and weight rating would be a likely candidate for a donor. Might even be able to take one out of a 2nd gen half ton truck. (although, there might be a difference in width??)

Truck rear end is about 4 inches wider than the van and spring perches are in the wrong place...

find one in a u pull it lot. if you get a couple years later, might get lucky and find with disc brakes... ;-)

A 3500 with a 9.25???? That doesn't seem quite right.

Yup. Would have liked a Dana or a Truck rear, but it has the corperate 9.25 with a 3.92 ratio and 3.5 inch brakes. I see a 50/50 mix in the wreckers up here in canada. I run Amsoil 80w140 sever gear.I was thinking the heavier oil would keep things cooler in the mountains. I dont drive it in the winters. Have put about 10,000 miles on ti with the amsoil. seemes to be ok!
