My 2002 B1500 was doing this same thing and then the ECM went out. Repiaced it and it fixed the problem. Very expensive at the dealer. Try to find someone who can program a used one for you.

Thanks for the info from everyone I found one on eBay with a warranty plug and play only cost $150 shipped should be here today I will definitely update when I install fingers crossed!
