I have a 2002 1500 van with a 360 V8 and a bad transmission. Forward gears work fine, but no reverse. The van will move slightly in reverse but a check engine light will come on. I want to swap the transmission rather than having it rebuilt for economic reasons. The tag under the hood says DGB, DGT. Can someone tell me what years/Dodge models have the exact same version of the 46RE transmission?

 

Before you do that...... Drop the pan, and see if the reverse band strut fell out. You may be able to just put it back in, adjust it up properly, and be done the road again.
