Default Remove Door Lock Cylinder with wire harness

Hello, I have a 2002 Ram 3500 VAN. I am trying to remove the door lock cylinder so I can easily paint the door. I have the lock cylinder free but cannot disconnect the wires at the rear of the cylinder. This is preventing me from getting the cylinder all the way out of the door. Any advice on how to disconnect the wires at the cylinder? Thanks.

Wires or a metal rod?

Wires. The drivers side lock cylinder has rods and wires. The rods were fairly simple. The rear/tail door does not have wires so that was straight forward.

There may be a lock on the clip that holds it in place. Or, it may just be a pigtail from the lock cylinder, to somewhere else in the door. Can you pull the wires through the hole, and see if there IS a connector there??

I got the wires disconnected. I studied the end of the rear door lock cylinder ( the one without the wires connected) and noticed the stud protruding from the back end was triangular is shape. So I figured I might need to turn the key 1/3 of a turn. I had tried it with the key at 0 and 90 degrees but no luck. Wire harness comes off at this 1/3 position. Hope I can get it back on the same way.
