Default No start, No OBD or CEL 1997 B2500 Van . Tried eveything i know still stumped.

Stumped trying to get my van going.

1997 dodge 5.2 318 b2500 van

Current Condition:
i have a no start
Engine will crank
i have spark
OBD wont connect
check engine light will not come on.

Work complete:
new fuel pump
crank sensor
ecm
checked ASD/ Fuel Flow relays
Checked related fuses
checked all connectors
evap purge valve
new Variable speed sensor.

notes:
Two weeks ago was driving, stopped at store came back out no start
At that point the obd code was for evap solenoid Code P0443.
I checked evap canister hoses and replaced evap canister purge valve.
(Prior to the no start i had been hearing loud ticking/clicking under hood when driving.)

i was then towed to my house
(It was possible for a short time to hit tank with rubber mallet to engage the pump to start the vehicle.)
it finally left me stranded again.

towed again.

i installed new fuel pump, still no start.

(Prior to the fuel pump procedure and connector check the check engine light was functioning properly.)

Today i replaced ECM, the check engine light came back on. turned the engine over, no start no check engine light

Any help figuring out would be greatly appreciated.
im stumped .

blake

Does the CEL come on when you first turn the key on? If not, check the fuse for the ECM. If you have a spare, just replace it.

Hhhhmmm.... That's odd.

Moving this to the Ram Van section for ya. Hopefully folks there will have more insight.

Have you tried seeing if it will start using starting fluid? Doing so could confirm or eliminate a fuel delivery issue.

Yep, has both. Cam sensor is in the distributor.
