hello everyone, having trouble figuring out why my van revs at high idle when at cold start and never drops down after 5 min of warm up. it revs so high as if the pedal in pressed all the way down to the floor. i replaced:

iac valve
tps switch
map sensor
egr valve and solenoid
removed and cleaned thoroughly the throttle body
checked all vacuum lines(no breaks)
canister purge valve
manifold air temperature sensor
all capped ports (just in case they were too old)

.........still to no avail, the engine just shoots to idling really high when i start it up. what could i possibly be missing that i can correct it?

 

Vacuum leak, bad IAC, (just because it's new........ ) Or failing PCM. Does it give you any codes?

 

the ecm was put in at the dodge dealer 7 years ago,new iac installed 3 days ago, and all vacuum lines have been checked....im still baffled.

 

What brand IAC? Did you reset the PCM after replacing it?

Yeah....... I had zero luck with those...... Find a mopar IAC, put that in there. It actually works right.
