sensor issues
alright i installed the new part, but with mixed results.
sounds like the engine is running quieter and is not having the issue of jerking while in 35-45mph range.
that being said the stalling just after start issue went from infrequent to frequent (1 out of every 4 starts) and the check engine light is on and still says P1391. i cleared the codes and it came back after the next start. thoughts?

alright after a long break, I'm back. I ended up having to replace the pick up coil again as the one I first bought actually caused the engine to stall often. I swapped it to another one but I'm once again getting p1391 after I drive for about 50 miles.
I did try to check the wiring last night. there's nothing obvious although the wires are all taped together and I don't feel super confident about going that deep with my inspection. the wires look like they are in good shape on the harness and on the connectors going into ECM.
I called a shop and they told me this same thing, they have to inspect the wires for $125 per hour.
I was wondering...if there's a "computer issue", would you look to the ECM? or TCM? does this van have a replaceable TCM?
and is there anything I should try with my scan tool besides the engine code?
anyone recommend I throw a Hail Mary and just buy a new ECM? looks like I can buy it and plug it in, and if it doesn't work return it and just lose $50. any off the cuff guesses of % chance it's the computer?

Might be the crank sensor that is causing the issue...... The code is for either cam or crank, intermittent signal.... Since you have been thru a couple cam sensors, might be time for the crank sensor. Unfortunately, the ONLY ones that work worth a darn are the mopar sensors....... which are not cheap. The aftermarket fellers tend to cause more problems than they solve.
