Check continuity of the wires. Don't need to pull them out of the loom for that. Just unplug from the PCM, and sensor, put your tester in place, and then wiggle/bend/pull on the harness and see if you lose continuity.

Not in the Vans....... I *think* it's under the hood on the passenger side somewhere, but, don't quote me on that.

Middle of the cowl panel under the hood. There are three large connectors on it. It is right up front and easy to get to.

it is the crank sensor harness! (female side)

i wasn’t able to trace it back to the computer but i did a ground continuity test as this video demonstrates and saw that continuity cuts out if i move the harness at all. same for the continuous 5v side.

once i get the harness off I’ll check if it’s just the harness or also the wire and go from there. thanks everyone for the help!!
