Hey y’all I have a 1997 ram van 2500 the sliding door will not open. The latch I’m sure is broke but can not open the door at all to get full access to the actuator itself any ideas how to get the door open and replacement?

 

Is there a panel on the inside of the door you can remove, to get access to the latch?

 

Depending on how the interior is set up, you'll either need to remove the inner panel or if it's a basic van, there should be a small hatch on the inside near the outer handle. There are little plastic clips that hold things together and when these break, the linkage falls apart. Simple fix, once you get in there. Getting in there is a booger.
