Default Cruise control works intermittently

Cruise control works intermittently sometimes it will hold the speed but most of the time it continually loses speed. I like to know what to look for in my 2001 Dodge van 3500. I'm wondering if it's vacuum actuated and where that actuator is located. Thank you

Yep, vacuum powered, but, on the van, I have no idea where it is. On the trucks, it's under the battery. (not exactly the best location in my opinion.....) Might be a vacuum leak elsewhere too though.
