Hello
i am desperate my dodge ram van 2500 is in security mode, alarm ringing and refusing to start.
the manual just says to unlock one of the front doors with the key or the remote to stop it but it doesn’t work. I have followed some of the advices seen on the forum but none has worked.

has anyone avec managed to quit the security mode?

model : dodge ram van 2500, year 2002

 

Supposedly, unlocking one of the front doors TWICE with the key *should* turn it off.... Some places say drivers door, other places say passenger door. Try 'em both.

 

If pressing unlock doesn't work, sometime if you first press lock then unlock it can disarm the system.

 

I have a 92 b250, discovered security system could be disabled by disconnecting battery, turn key to run, the reconnect battery. Not sure if it's the same for newer models but worth a try!
