Default Dodge 318;Smog removal (please help)

Okay, guys. I have a 1988 Dodge B150 with a TBI 318. Smog pump went out on me. So instead of paying almost $300 for a new one. I removed the old worn out smog pump. I plugged 3 lines coming off the smog pump.
Also removed the EGR and put a plate to block of the hole. Then plugged off the vacuum line coming from the EGR.
The Van idles amazing(a little rich) but no power when I throw the Van in drive and accelerate. Really sluggish.
All the videos and articles I have read. Everyone says there Van/Truck runs just fine.
I am lost.... Any help or advice. Would be AmAzing.

You have something else going on. EGR or AIR not being there won't make the engine sluggish.... Clogged cat?

I will check that next. Now if I remove the cat, until I can put on straight pipes and new muffler. Will the motor sound really loud?

Check the vacuum the engine is pulling. You should be pulling 17 to 20 inches of vacuum at idle for a good engine. A worn one might read 15 but still run good. Something might have built a nest in the exhaust or your muffler of catalytic converter might have collapsed inside. You can put a glove on your hand and crawl under the van and thump (<---fancy technical term) the bottom of the muffler and converter. If you hear rattling, it's rusty inside. That might be your exhaust restriction.

If it was running fine before you did the work and now doesn't run fine then there is something you did to make it do that. As Hey You said removing those things shouldn't cause a problem. Something got unplugged or vacuum line pulled off, something of that sort. Go back and check everything again.

So before I removed the smog pump. When u would accelerate the gas pedal. The Van would be sluggish,I would have to keep pumping on the gas pedal. To get her going. A.K.A for smog pump removal. I checked the Cat,no rattling of any sorts. I also rechecked and doubled check everything I pulled and plugged. After someone mentioned the Cat. Seems the Van was showing signs of a bad Cat all along. Also the Van started backfiring.
