What brand coil did you get? Mopar crank sensor? That *shouldn't* be the problem....

I got an Echlin Ignition coil. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHIC410 Was trying to solve the misfires with coil replacement.
Mopar 56027870 Crankshaft Position Sensor installed.

Are there any modules or connections between the ignition switch and the computer I should be checking out?

Computer will have a couple power feeds, one will be constant, there will be at least one that is switched... maybe more. Check the connector pinouts. But, on yours, if the PCM isn't getting power, none of your gauges will work either. Might try warranty swapping the coil, see if anything changes. (not holding my breath) Done a compression or leakdown test??

Well, I replaced the Mopar crank sensor with the Duralast one I still had and the van is firing up consistently now... Idle is still rough but running.
So maybe I got a bad crank sensor?

I am planning to do a leak down test next month. But maybe now we are back onto the crank sensor.

Entirely possible. part quality has declined dramatically in the last decade or so.

Have you replaced the Ignition switch? I had one go bad on me and it gave me nightmarish symptoms. Sort of like yours. Not the key tumbler itself but the black plastic box it's mounted inside of. May be worth a shot. Bad switch & It'll idle & drive bad. Die while driving, rapid die/revive while driving, sometimes not start, sometimes start right away. Hope this helps.
