I just bought via Auction a 1996 Dodge Ram Van 2500 w/ 5.9 gas engine. That's sadly all the info I have on it right now.

Picking it up Tuesday (4/2). It definitely needs a new battery, and I am having difficulty googling the correct one.

Do the '96 Dodge Ram 2500 TRUCKS use the same size battery as the Vans by the same name?

I am having a much easier time finding sizes for the trucks.

I need to make certain I'm buying the correct one this weekend.

Should be able to walk into any place that sells batteries, tell 'em what ya got, and they should be able to hand you the correct battery.

 

For the most part, Ram Vans and Ram Trucks are completely different, and I wouldn't interchange parts unless the part numbers for each are an exact match.

I use a group 27

 

If it's a van, it's probably a B250. The 2500/3500 are pickups.
