Stick a flat screwdriver in that slot and spread it a little. Should come right off.

 

Stick a screwdriver or chisel in that slot at the back, and pry it apart a bit. Should pop right off then.

 

I got it all out but I see no part that looks remotely like what I was sold to replace in here. Am I missing something or does the TCC solenoid hide somewhere else in the transmission?

 

Ok, that's strange..... Pull a build sheet for your van from here, see what it originally came with.... That looks a lot like a 3 spd auto, with no TCC capability.... Wonder if the trans got swapped with the wrong one at some point???
