Clockspring Needed for 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 Van
Hi all,
I need a clockspring for my van. Horn and cruise control don't work. So far, no airbag light, but I assume that's just a ticking timebomb.
Any ideas where I can get one? I can't find one at any big box store or ebay.
I guess I'm down to calling junk yards to see if they have one?
Thanks,
Matt

Discontinued everywhere I look.... Even EBay doesn't have any.... Theoretically, Dorman makes a replace for the trucks, but, don't list vans in the applications. If someone had a crossover manual, and could check?? Your local junkyard might be able to give you that info.
When I bought my van back in 2020 I found i needed a new clockspring due to cruise not working and ran into the same problem finding one. I ended up taking a chance on a truck clockspring since everywhere I could find a pic of one it looked like it was a match. It did end up being an exact match and its been working great for 4 years. I will dig back in my records to see if I can find exactly where I got it. FYI my van is a 97 B3500.
Correct, they say it won't fit the van...but it was a perfect match. I have no idea why this doesn't cross ref for the van. The only thing I'm not sure of, and maybe someone on the forum can confirm, is if your 2000 has the same clockspring connector setup as the 97. I know starting with the 98 vans they had a different dash/gauge cluster setup. if I were you I'd try to get a look at your clockspring plug and compare to the pics on the site.
