Default More stuff to do - fuel pump

Well - 10 years out of a fuel pump...I guess that isnt that bad

My van has been stumbling a little..then I got code P0171 - LEAN....

then yesterday (I did this on purpose) the tank got down to 1/8 and the van would stumble a lot...so Im thinking - yep fuel pump (Ive done everything else lol)

Ill be starting on it in a few mins...anyone want a pic or have any ?s - just ask...it is a pretty straightforward job...IIRC taking the tank down is two nuts...after disconnecting the filler hose...
Then there is a large nut that holds the fuel pump on to the tank...that's it

What brand replacement are you going with (it matters)? Also, be aware, there are specific pumps for 35gal vs. 32 gallon tank.

At least for my 2000, 3.9L, 1500, Herko has the standard size fuel pump and then they have one for the 35-gallon tank, each is a different part number.

Thanks Alloro...
Its the 31gal -- it fit great - I had the 17ge

going to test it right now...one thing that was weird (I didn't check) was that the straps go in different holes in the body...not the same ones
