I can't seem to get to the headlight bulbs on my 99 Ram Van without tearing things apart. I finally pulled the battery and battery tray out to access the driver's side headlight bulb, but the passenger side has a bunch of A/C piping in the way.
Is there a trick to this? Even if I had child-size hands, I don't think I could get to the passenger side headlight bulb. Help?
Couldn't figure out how to pull the assembly without screwing up the aiming. I ended up removing the turn signal and the small body panel under the headlight to access the bulb.
It worked, but I found the whole thing ridiculous. I'm of the opinion that you ought to be able to change your headlight bulbs in a Walmart parking lot with no tools. Guess that's not the case here.
There are two releases per side. You have to push them back slightly then pull them up and then the whole assembly will pull forward. I circled one of them in your picture.
