Default new ram owner question

Hey Guys, So I bought my Ram 1500 a few months ago, and let me say I F*ing love this truck. it is only the 4.7 V8, but it has already gotten me in and out of some pretty hairy places.

So, anyway, my question to you seasoned guys, with the approaching winter, will be getting in to deep snow up in the mountains because of my job
Question 1: how deep can I go in a stock Ram? (Currently have stock tires, Goodyear SR-A, but getting silent armors)
Question 2: will I need to get hay bails for the bed?

I thank you for your time and I'm sure I'll be a frequent viewer of the forum

Welcome. I have the 4.7 as well. Less power than the hemi but good engine nonetheless. Lots of good performance parts at KRC.

Well, to answer your question, I don't know about stock tires. I have the low profile 20's which I'm pretty sure wouldn't get me out of the driveway in winter. I did get a set of 17" rims with 265/70's on them for snow. Decent snow tires I got are Avanlanche. I think they're made by Hercules. I assume yours is 4x4 too?
Mine is 4x4 with LSD diff and I can push through 3' snowdrifts and drive in about 18" of snow on the lake. Once it's warm and sticky though, only about a foot. Mine is stock hight too.
