Just thought i would gloat..hit 22.4MPG on my '99 1500 5.9L 4x4 completely stock yesterday. granted, it was about 70*, sunny, and a 2 laned straight highway that i had the cruise set at about 58mph, so i think i hit the max mpg i could get..but i was impressed to say the least

I'm going to take the Hemi on a road trip this weekend. I have a homemade CAI and I'm hoping it tops my best MPG so far of 20.1 MPG.

 

OUTSTANDING !! man, that has to be the best yet from 5.9. my dakota r/t was doing 14 with a tailwind and driving like an old lady.

thats awesome :-)....after i got my lowest of 9 mpg one time (going fast, stop and go, up and down the main street here in town) i stoped even bothering to check what i get anymore, if i get low id rather not know so i just fill it up when it needs it and as long as it goes fast when i mash the gas im happy

 

I figured I wasn't alone and that the Consumer Reports article was with a leadfoot.
My best so far is 23.1 @ 65 mph, on interstate, windows up, no AC. Usually avg. 19-20 at 70, with AC and 17-18 at 80.
