Engine Number...? Could it be the VIN#? That's the Vehicle Identification Number... that's on drivers side, looking into the truck from the outside, near the bottom of the windshield you'll see a metal plate with the VIN # stamped in it.

Yes I have the vin and i know that the engine number is the same, however, the police here need to see it on the engine before i can licence the truck.</P>

I hope to have a picture later, but until then, it looks to be stamped directly on the right side of the engine block, by Cylinder #2. <IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">

I have looked all over together with 2 police engineers and a crowd of onlookers, but i'll try no2. A picture would be nice.</P>

I have looked all over cyl no 2 on the right and the left. this is where the engine mounts and I still cannot find a number if anyone knows where its located i would be forever in there debt.</P>

That is the diagram a mechanic has. #3 is Cylinder #2 and the Number to the right of it...
