Default A weird shaking in my 99 ram

I was towing my horse trailer on the high way and all of a sudden my truck started to shake like the alignment was off. The check engine light come on for a while then I slowed down and the shaking went away and the ceck engine light. My truck has never done that before, the only problem that i've notice is that sometimes the truck will start to make a clicking or chatter noise when I accelerate up a hill. I took the truck to the machanic and he did a dianostic on it and nothing came up. Does anyone know what the problem could be
Thanks Frank

Crank position sensor... would be my 1st guess. Couple of months back before I got my truck, I drove 1 with the same problem you describe. Not knowing what could be the problem I passed on it. Later I found posts indicating the crank position sensor could have been the problem. Located on the passenger side behind the head at the top of the block.

It's behind the passenger side head at the top of the block (where the transmission bolts to the block). I would take it to a shop and have them check it out. They should be able to check it for you. Please keep us posted.
