My 2004 Reg can HEMI Ram (2x4) w/Sport Appearance just arrived at the dealership and I was suprised to see that I didnt get the Goodyear Eagle LS P275/55R20 tires, but instead got Wrangler HP P275/60R20. Can anyone confirm that you are supposed to get the Eagle LS tires rather than the Wrangler HP on 2 wheel drive models? I read somewhere that the Wrangler HP's are only 4 wheel drive models.
I wanted the lower profile Goodyear LS tires but the dealership kept saying that you can only get the Wrangler's.
If anyone knows the telephone number to the St. Louis plant where they are built, I'll call them and ask them.
Any ideas?

You are pretty much stuck with what's on the truck. I was supposed to get 265/70-17s, but got 245/70-17s. I think they sometimes put on whatever is available. Unfortunately, you can't contact the plant directly. You'll have to call Dodge's 800 number. Maybe the dealership will work something out with you. Chances are, the computer will have to be reset for a difference in tire OD if you change them.

I have the same tires (wrangler hp) as you. I think they changed the tires for the 04 models on the sport models. I too was disappointed but my truck does ride a little better than my buddy's truck that does have the lower profile eagle tires. I won't lose sleep over it.

I am unsure about the regular cab models, but as for the quad cab models I saw about every size they make on them while I was shopping for my truck. The predominant tire in the 20" size did seem to be the lower profile tires. The truck that I chose happened to have the P275/60R's and it does make the truck sit up much higher, but, in my case, I tend to like it.
