Best year of ram 1500
I am looking to buy a dodge ram 1500 quad cab, and am not sure what year to get. I dont want to spend more than $15,000 though. If you have one drop me an email at: GECKO1739@msn.com

I voted 2001. Here is my reason. There were changes made in 2002. So, 2001 would be the last year b4 changes. That usually means al bugs and kinks have been work out. Before I bought my 03 I was seriously considering a 2001. Great Truck and seems to hold its value depending on the options.
I voted 94 because I have several around me... one being mine. LOL! But I think any and every year of the Ram rocks, never a year I didn't love 'em...

2000!!!,, o.k. really any year '94-'01 since it was the model that broke out of the traditional box styling mold. You'll notice how both ford & chevy came out with similar styling in the late 90's...
I picked the 2000 model, but this is keeping in mind your price range. A 2001 would have my vote for the same reasons. I have a 1999 Ram Quad cab. I love the truck but the reason for the 2000 vote is the front brakes are far superior to the prior years.
I have been battling the brakes on my ram since day one. They just don't seem to be up to the type of driving that I do. Keep in mind that I "DRIVE" my truck very hard and am probably asking way too muck from a stock set up. But the 2000 went to a two piston caliper and a simple hubless rotor.
The twin piston caliper will give a more uniform claming on the pad. The hubless rotor is a lot easier to to get off when you do a brake job. You don't have to remove the bearing at all.
The rest of the truck is basicily the same.

I think they are all cool but you are missing 2002-2004. I'd go with 2003 or 2004 for my favorite because that's what we have. I picked 2001 because it was the closest. They all kick *** though!
