I will be adding headers on my truck next month with duel ex i am stoked about this i love to hear the roer of a dodge with a good set of duels lol my Well i just didnt want to be a stranger so ill let yall go and i hope to learn a heck of alot off this site
How about...dont do it??
I know thats not what you wanted to hear...but from a performance perspective tat set up would hurt you unless you are trying to see how fast you can make your top speed!!
If you make your exhaust to free flowing you will hurt your low end! The only way you would need true duals on a full size truck is if you have a S/C. Even people with 408s keep a single exhaust.
Performance wise a single in single out muffler is best...even with just the 2.5 inch pipes. 3 inch pipes wont hurt much but you can gain a little performance with a 3 inch set up.
The reason why sports cars and muscle cars can get away with it is cause they have a few thousand pounds less to move.

Thanks for the welcome
So i shouldnt put true duals at all just run a single pipe? Or can i go with headers and then behind the cat put the y pipe would that be cool? i like a deap rumble not a poping or cracking noise... and should i put on glass packs or some other type muffler? Thanks in advance.....

Welcome aboard. Personally, I would go with a high flow cat, single in: dual out muffler with dauls out the back. Thats what Im going to do with my 99 5.2 ram 1500. What muffler you choose is up to you. Im gonna go with something really loud!
