should i get an 04 ram1500 2wd 4.7l quad?
I hear alot of transmission stories and this concerns me as I
ll be towing about 2500 lbs. Several folks who tow say the tranny hunts for the right gear alot and they are constantly having to throttle up or down. Also seems alot of complaints about the rear end jumping around on bumps and corners.
Lastly so many folks seem to have front rotor issues in 2002 and 2003 models has Dodge fixed this for 04? Great truck, don't like Ford 04 f150 much.

I have a '02 4.7L, bought it used in like new (9000 miles). To my surpise the 5.7L is rated at the same mpg on the stickers. To bad it wasnt a "Hemi" . With the extra 100+hp you might want to look around for the 5.7L. Also if you look at the "Searching Transmission" post you see some ideas there.
