Default Bent rim on new Hemi

I just bought me a new Reg. Cab 4x4 Hemi powered Ram 1500, and already bent one of my rims at three days old. I have the factory 17" rims. I can see that all it is, is a stainless steel cover on the rim. I was wondering what the cost would be to get a new cover?

Wow! How did you do that? I personally do not like the stock rims that came with my ram so I bought new ones. I have no idea how much the covers cost but a friend of mine was telling me he saw a set of the stock rims on e-bay going for a pretty penny. If it looks like it is going to be to much maybe you should just look into getting new ones. Check your local tire shop because some places will give you a discount on what is already on your vehicle, and in your case a new truck with new tires. Even though one is bent. Good luck.

Don't forget about your insurance. I had the same thing happen on a different truck. The alloy rim was $600. All it cost me was $50 deductable. Also BRIGGS I don't like chrome on the truck and been in the process of de-chorming it. I like the way black rims look. I was wandering if you can tell how the chrome clad is attached to the steel rim? Thanks in advance.

I did'nt pull it off yet but I should get around to doing it in a couple of days, I am going to try to straighten it out myself, since the rim is'nt bent to bad, just a little on the edges. Hey, Ramit, my truck looks just like yours, same color and everything, what color is it anyway?

I believe the color codes are on the sticker on the inside of the drivers side door.

I just put on a set of 285/70R17 BFG Mud Terrain T/A's and looked at the chrome cladding when the tire was off the rim. Looks like it is "edge-rolled". They wont come off without destroying them. I guess I will have to suffer with the cheap-a$$ chrome look. I was wanting a cheap way have black rims but with the salt here in NE, I'm sure that there is rust underneath. I did see some stock rims on E-bay cant remember if it was 1 or 4 17" chromers.
