Fading???

I was thinking about doing this, but was afraid that the paint had faded in 3 years.

I might seem a little ignorant here, but I have to ask about rebadging since I've never really heard of it. I understand that you are taking off the factory badges, but why? Do you replace them with another badge, or just leave it looking clean. I can understand a nice clean smooth look without the badges, but I couldn’t part with my Hemi badges.

Does anyone have pictures of this? I'd like to see what people are doing with it.

Vey nice, looks very smooth without the badges. I was thinking I might lose the "Ram 1500" and "SLT" badges, but the Hemi would stay for sure

As I said before, mine's debadged... I did it the day I got her BEFORE I left the dealership because I like the smoother look...

but if I had a Hemi, I'd be leaving that badge.

I agree... I know mine isn't a Hemi, but she's a sleeper, especially since people don't expect a girl to drive like I do. LOL!!

Here is my '02 de-badged. Used stuff we call "wax'string" its like a flat packaging cord with imbedded wax. Then used "goo gone" and a rubber squeegie to remove the sticky stuff. Did it on a 85 degree day, a friend tried it using a hair dryer and the paint got soft and lifted. When I get a chance, I am going to take off the side moulding and then get a spry-on liner company to spray the bottom panels like a two-tone paint job.
