I am on a fact finding mission! I have been told that a "flowmaster" or large diameter full flow exhaust equivelant will increase my fuel mileage on my 2004 Quad Cab. Anyone have any experience on adding this muffler and exhaust combination?

 

A free flowing exhaust does generally add some hp and increase fuel economy a little (AND save quite a bit of weight). Problem is that they sound so good that you end up with your foot on the floor a lot more, so you'll have to really drive the same to see a difference.

 

I added a flowmaster cat back and i started reading 1mpg increase on the trip computer.

 

Flowmaster 50 series and custom supertruck side exit and it only cost 245 with instalation...

 

where did you find this deal?[8D]

 

I went to my local exhaust shop and told them I wanted the 50 series single in dual out with 2 3.5" chrome tips. I took the tips and held them up where I wanted them and they built me an exhaust. If was about $150 cheaper than the kit I could have ordered and the kit did not have the tips I wanted. I will have to post pictures.
