Default OFF Road tires

I have an 04 Ram 1500 Quad Cab with 20's and am looking to change to 33x12.5 tires. I was thinking of going with a 17x10" rim with a -25mm offset has anyone tried this? Will it work?

There is no reason why it would not work, go with a Goodyear MT/R tires is my suggestion.

Why not pick up a mud terrain fo rthe 20's? you've only got a inch of tire to make up for.. the stock 20's and rubber are 32"

I second the Mud Terrain idea by B GT, hot lookin tires, even on 20s!

Question for you Bryman, if you got 17s, would you keep your 20s or wanna sell them?

Just know that you will loose rain performance on the BFG Muds.

B][GT are you measuring your tires from the ground up or across the tire from front to back. I have 20's on mine and they measure 33 front to back if I check them top to bottom then I get 32 due to the weight of the truck.I was thinking of getting the new BF's 315 which are 35", only 1" more on the radius..My tire guy thinks they will work with out a lift but im not to sure.

I had measured anything, just doing the math on the size numbers. I can see the 315's working on a 3/4ton .. but i think theyd rub on the 1/2's. We have a small advantage over the guys with 17's cuz we dont HAAAAAaaaave to change our rims when we lift our trucks, the stock 17's dont have enuff backspacing to clear most lift kits new tie-rod ends. Dunno bout you guys but i like my 20's, and will be keepign htem when i lift mine.

Just a offnote Rob, if he's looking for mud terrains, or evan all terains.. im gonna guess he's not looking to corner dive But i didnt mind my 35's BF mud terrain's on my old ford, and still took most corners at 170-180km. (sorry for the km/h )

Yes I plan to keep the 20's as well. Have seen quite a few on Ebay for sale though.
