Just found this forum thru Goggle.
I'm looking for info about replaceing the muffler and possibly the rear pipe, which just fell apart at the rear of the muffler. It's a 97 dually Cummins. It's got 74,000 miles on it.
My question is, should I stay with the factory muffler or is there a better quality replacement that's in the price range that I'd pay for the factory replacement. If I pick up some mileage and/or performance, all the better. All suggestions would be appreciated.

 

If you want to do it right, I would go with a Banks muffler/system... they are the best for the cummings...
