Default Love my 03 Hemi 4x4 but...Door

When I am running 70 or above with a gusting 15-30 mile an hour crosswind I can see my door in the mirror flexing and bending and the wind noise that gets thru the seal is terrible, having to crank up the volume to max to try and drown out the wind noise. Anyone else notice this on their 03?This is driving me crazy.

Never had that problem. I drive at interstate speeds alot and have done it in some heavy weather but I don't have any wind noise.

Never heard of this either. Could it possibly be "defective" ?

With the thinner materials they are using now this doesnt surprise me. But you should still be under warrenty...I would say to just take it in and let them worry about it!! LOL

Took it to the Dodge body shop today and they adjusted the strikers. They told me if that doesnt work they will replace door seals. Strange that a new truck needs door seals replaced. Wouldnt you know it, no wind in Oklahoma today to see if they fixed it. I bet its still noisy. Will let you know.

Well I havnt tested it yet on a windy day but I can tell you the door is hard to shut now. I am thinking the striker adjustment may be to much and it will wear it out faster now, what do you think? I have to really slam it to close it.

You shouldn't have to slam it, mine close just fine with minimal effort. How far did they move the striker?

Well it is alot quieter now but the doors have to be pulled or shut pretty hard to get them closed. I am quite pissed about this. How could they send such a fine truck off the line with a problem like this, that the dealer proly cant solve? The dealer said door seals may need to be replaced, I dont know whether to try thjis or not but I am not happy with telling my passengers to "Pull it Hard, Okay, Pull it harder, okay, SLAM IT!, Thank you very much" I just tell them that the vehicle is so tight you really gotta pull them doors, lol.
