Air Conditioner Blowing warm at Idle
I have a 2000 Ram with a Cummings Turbodiesel and the A/C blows warm when idling at a stop light... As soon as we are moving again, it starts to blow cold again... Does anyone have any suggestions... Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,

RE: Air Conditioner Blowing warm at Idle
Its probably low on charge. The compressor is more efficient at above idle rpms. Thats why you still get cold air at higher rpms. Have your system pressure checked, low side should be between 30 and 40 psi, the high side around 200-250, the higher the ambient temperature, the higher into the temp range.
A 5 degree higher cabin outlet vent temp compared to cruise speeds at idle is normal.
Good Luck
