Default Superchip for 2003 5.7 Hemi

Has anyone installed the 'new' Superchip. Currently chip is available for 2003 Hemi's with 2004 scheduled a few months out..

Thanks for any responses

I havent, but know people that have. They say it is worth the $400. Haven't seen any before and after dynos, but the seat of the pants dynos seem to be good. The shift points are tighter and there is a bit more torque and take off speed as well as mid range power.

According to superchip's website the 2003 HEMI programmer (Item #3714 - http://www.superchips.com/html/produ...gas_trucks.htm) Does not change your shift point in any way. It states that you can "up" the rev limiter but that will only help your top speed as the trany will shift you into the next gear before the "higher" rev limit is reached. ( until you run out of gears of course. :-)

That said, the HP gains and torque gains are right nice... $400 bucks fpr a reliable 21.4 HP / 34.2 Trq is reasonable!

I suppose I will have to get one and take it to the track to see for myself. :-)

IS there any other programmer besides the Superchip? What about Hypertech or Bulldog?

Default Air Intake

Hello to all!

I have had very good luck with the advice given under this Forum. I am at a point of upgrading my K & N Filter to an intake system. I have reviewed some part posting and have some ideas. What is the consensus for AFE system?

Many thanks for any responses, Mike

silly question, but will the chip still work with a manual transmission??? I have an 03 with the 5.7 hemi.

and I am assuming this voids the warranty right?

I had been out of contact for some time. I have a 2004 1500, Hemi with after market exhaust and AFE intake. All seems to be working fine with one exception, Auto transmission seems sluggish and slow to shift. The dealership states all is at factory settings. One of the service tech said there is a 'fast shift' upgrade to the transmission. Has anybody heard of such an option?

Thanks, Mike

I feel this is a great device and would like to order if others would do.

Does anyone want to go in halves? I think it would be better to buy it
and then let the other use it rather than just sitting around after programming
