RE: Ram 1500 carwash recommendations
I would go here http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/detailing/ and see what these guys do. I just use soap & water and dry it with a chamois. Some of those bimmer guys are so **** about their cars it's rediculous, but it is an excellent source of info.

You really don't want to use a chamois. If there is any dirt left on the truck while you are drying it, the chamois will trap it between itself and the paint surface.

I disagree with the part about the chamois and water blade though. I feel the chamois is safer than the water blade, because if you get any grit stuck in the blade, it will leave some very nasty scratches behind.
The part about using the hose without the end on and using a blower is really good. I always do both, the blower helps to get any water out of crevises so it won't leak out and leave streaks after you think you've got it dry. It also cuts down on drying time.
Finally, even though your truck is new, it can still pick up some rail dust while being delivered. You might want to check into using a clay bar on it. Do not use Mother's clay bar though, it is defective and will leave streaks and junk on the finish. They might have fixed the problem by now, but since they burnt me the last time, I won't be using them again.

Thanks for all of the suggestions regarding handwashing...looks like I'll have to grow some longer arms.
Took delivery of the red Ram SRT 10 two days ago and just love it. Super torque like my 2001 Z06 Corvette... quiet with great handling. I'm getting triple takes as I drive by people...only 4 SRT 10's in Wisconsin at this time.
Thanks Dodge!!

Around here we have ones with "triggers" on the wands, if you want low pressure, you release the trigger....
