Default Ram 1500 carwash recommendations

I'm taking delivery on a new Ram truck. Any suggestions on manual carwashing tips...best way to clean and dry the truck bed.

Also, will automatic (drive-thru) "brushless" carwashes damage the paint finish??

Thanks

Yep, the SRT 10 is currently on a railcar in central Illinois enroute northbound. Thanks for the info on the truck bed.

I have been using this brushless carwash in Wisconsin. Pull into an enclosed stall and the vehicle receives two coats of soap spray, then two intense sprays of rinse water then a finish coat spray. As you pull out of the enclosed stall a ceiling blower blows off most of the water...$6.00. I use it frequently for that nasty winter salt coating.

I was told these carwashes use pretty strong soap chemicals. The SRT 10 will be for summer/fall months only and stashed for the winter so it looks like I'll have to grow some longer arms and do it myself.

I use Wesleys carwash with a cotton wash mit. I detail with a claybar system once a year, and use Meguiars car care products like wax, paint cleaner, and polish. Good luck with that new truck.

i went through a brushless automatic last nite with my 99 ram sport.... the truck came out looking great but i have to spray the wheel wells out from home cuz the underbody wash didnt really make it past the tires

id hand wash it everytime but i have hard water at my house... and with a black truck id be claybarring all day everytime i washed.

I use a sponge with amour all concentrated liquid car wash which leaves it a brilliant shine and get's the toughest dirt and grime off and then I use a deer skin cloth aftwards to get the water spots of my windows because I can only get rusty well water.

I do have a talent to be a spokes person on TV for sure. As it is I have to suggest items to customers at my store and I explain to them how it works or how good a quality things are..so I have many satisfied customers returning to me everytime I work.
