i have a 1997 dodge ram 4x4 extended cab. it is a sport model and i have found a lot of parts that say fits 94-01 ram (except sport). so anyway, my truck needs a grill guard/ brush guard and i am wondering if it makes a difference if the truck is a sport or not. i am looking at them on ebay and have found one that i think will work that is pretty cheap.

some say the sports are all different, but other descriptions say that 94-98 are all good and that only the 99-01 sports are different. so what's the deal? wil my 97 sport take a regular guard?
