RE: Milage INCREASE
you might see a little increase after you change your oil for the first time, but gas milage mostly depends on how you drive( keep the lead foot off the gas!) There are a lot of things you can do to increase mileage, but you shoud first give it some time

RE: Milage INCREASE
My mileage really didn't show a consistent change until I changed the oil to synthetic. That got me about 1 MPG around town. I'm right at 8K miles on the truck. So far i have put a drop-in air filter and synthetic oil. I have been searching for a muffler and recently contacted a company about their muffler which they claimed would increase mileage and power. You can read the thread and emails with the company. Here's a link.

yeah I too went from a car that got like 25 mpg to a 5.9...
Its bad when youget excited that you can pass the next gas station. And that doesn't happen too often.

I have only had the pleasure of burning 2 tanks of fuel so far with an average of 13 mpg.
I was wondering if the mpg would increase any after a certain period of time?

MPG sucks to say the least but let the rings & valve seat in before you start really romping on her!!!!

Lets see 4.7L with 27K miles, K&N drop in filter, tonneau cover, glass pack, Airraid intake Tube, 33" tires i get 12 city and just did a 60 mile highay trip and got 16. Drive like a lil o man (keeps rpms under 2500 when accelerating). I don't think that there is much of anything that can be done to help. Kick *** and sukin gas!
