Default Thinking about a Ram

Well, first of all hi to everyone. I currently own a Mit Eclipse '02 and am thinking about buying a dodge ram '04 hemi, because I really like the truck aand have wanted on for some time now.

Let me fire away with some questions, please answere them in the most complete way possible so I can make a good decision, I don't want to get myself into something that I wish I didn't.

1.What kind of mileage do you get?

2.How many miles are on your truck? As far as high mileage, how do you think this engine will hold up?

3.Any problems with your Ram so far(be specific)?

4.Would you recommend me to buy one or to stay away from them?

5.What kind of problems are associated with this truck?

6.If you could change or add/take-away something, what would it be?

7.If you could do it all over again, would you?

thanks for all your help, it is extremely appricated, you have no idea. I am looking forward to puchasing one and being an active member on here?

Thanks!

Jason

Welcome to Dodge Forum.

1.What kind of mileage do you get? Avg. 16.5 MPG, HWY best = 20.1 MPG

2.How many miles are on your truck? As far as high mileage, how do you think this engine will hold up? Mileage =8K, The hemi should last a long time with proper maintenance and thoughtful use.

3.Any problems with your Ram so far(be specific)? Only one. A fastner came loose that holds the bottom of the front fender and caused an irritating noise. Dealer made a good repair, no more noise.

4.Would you recommend me to buy one or to stay away from them? If you need a truck, buy one. If you need a car most of the time and truck sometimes, you might want to think about something smaller like a Dakota. IMO

5.What kind of problems are associated with this truck? Haven't really heard of anything that has been common among them.

6.If you could change or add/take-away something, what would it be?
I would want a manual tranny behind my Hemi, no top speed limiter, and a good performance engine computer.

7.If you could do it all over again, would you? Absolutely.

1.What kind of mileage do you get? 13 - 15, depending on driving conditions

2.How many miles are on your truck? As far as high mileage, how do you think this engine will hold up? it's at 8000 now, will last as long as I take care of it.

3.Any problems with your Ram so far(be specific)? Nope, just the mileage.

4.Would you recommend me to buy one or to stay away from them? Get one, get one now. What are you waiting for??? Skip 5-7, turn of the computer and get to your local dealership now!!!

5.What kind of problems are associated with this truck?something about a "Hemi tick", but I haven't hear my engine do it. There are many people who post problems with their truck, but I've not seen anything that is so common that you should be worried about it.

6.If you could change or add/take-away something, what would it be? Maybe a better air intake, maybe a functional hood scoop, maybe a 6 disk CD changer, maybe a differnet color like black, but nothing for sure.

7.If you could do it all over again, would you?Yes
