More amp help!!!
• I am replacing my stock Infinity amp in my 2002 Dodge Ram Quad and need help deciding on amp. What wattage and rms power will I be looking for to power these speakers. I have noticed when looking at amplifiers that they will run the same rms or wattage out of all four channels. How do you pick and amp based on two different power handling speakers.

• I want to power 2 Infinity Kappa 5 ¼’s:
•
• Power Handling, RMS: 55 Watts
• Power Handling, Peak: 165 Watts
• Frequency Response (±3dB): 55Hz - 21kHz
• Sensitivity: 90dB
• Impedance: 4 Ohms
• And also 2 Infinity Kappa 3 ½ tweeters:
•
• Power Handling, RMS: 35 Watts
• Power Handling, Peak: 105 Watts
• Frequency Response (±3dB): 85Hz - 21kHz
• Sensitivity: 90dB
• Impedance: 4 Ohms

RE: More amp help!!!
Kevno6,If your look at most 4 channel amps there are gain controls for the front and rear outputs. This allows you to adjust the amount of power to the front and rear speakers .This allows you to run two different sets of speakers with different RMS.Since your not running the component speakers with crossovers I would buy a set of crossovers or you run the risk of blowing the speakers without them.
