Default Engine Help

I purchased the truck a few days ago. 2002 Ram 1500 Sport 5.9 Liter, 90k miles. Was working perfect, worked perfect all day today. Now i get home from work, and go back out to go to the gym, and it wont start. The lights and everything turn on, and also the gauges go on as if the truck were started, the fuel, etc. But the engine isnt starting, not even a noise as if it were trying. Anyone know what it might be? My starter maybe? Thanks

you might have corroded connections to the starter or the battery. you will have enough power for everything, but no start. if not starter selinoid could have gone out

try moving the gear shifter, there should be a safety switch that is not closed all the way and it'll prevent the motor from starting (wont even crank).

Last night it wasn't turning or cranking, the engine made no noise what so ever. This morning I say waht the hell and give it a shot at starting, and she fires right up as if nothing was wrong, she started perfect all 7 times i had started her today. I dont get it, oh well shes goin to the shop all day tomorrow.

sounds like a saftey switch to me. My GF had this problem in 2 of her cars that both had automatics. Moved the gear shifter & the switch unstuck & started right up.
