Default Bought a Dodge and already having trouble.. PLEASE HELP!

Well I went out today and purchased me a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.2L V8 Automatic engine. It has roughly 40,000 miles on it. Everything on the truck seems fine.. the drive is smooth.. but the only thing I can tell that is wrong with it is it i turn the wheel sharp when I'm turning into a parking lot of something, it sounds like it's kinda scraping and the truck kinda jumps a little or something. It's not the fender scraping I don't think... What could it be and how serious is it? Could it be the wrong size tires, or unbalanced tires? Someone please help!!!

Is it 4x4 equipped? If it is then you'll need to check the front u-joint on the axles they could be seizing up.

No it's not 4x4. It's not really a scratching noise... it sounds like more of a rubbing noise, kind of like the tire(s) are rubbing against the fender or something (but that's not it.. thats just what it sounds like). And it's only when I turn the wheel pretty sharp. Any suggestions?

i had the same problem on my 96. took me about 5 months to figure out what was going on. eventually i let my father borrow it for a long road trip (3 hours) and he figured it all out. loose wheel.

its something i had checked several times, just wasnt very noticeable. but i almost destroyed my wheel.

just something to look at.

How about the tire rubbing the suspension? Does it have the stock tire size on it?

Well I took it around to 2 places today. One play said it could be when they put a new set of brakes on, that something could have come lose. Then I took it to another place and he seemed REAL confident that it's the Rear Gears.. It only happens when I'm going slow and turning the wheel all the way to the left OR right. Gooood I hope it isn't the gears.. that's not cheap to work on! Also, the Dodge was sold AS-IS from a dealership with No Warranty. They will give me a hard time. I don't know what to do. The guy told me.... "It may not even be nothing serious, but then again, it could be..." [:@]
