RE: Soon to be new Ram Owner
I've got this data about the fuel consumption on the three engines of the ram 1500
Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup 2WD 2004
Side-by-Side
Fuel Economy
This numbers are from a goverment agency, and they say that there is virtually no difference in the milleage of the 4.7 and the Hemi.

RE: Soon to be new Ram Owner
I just picked up, two weeks ago, a New 2004 Ram QC, SLT, Lone Star, sliding rear glass, bed liner, nerf bars and that metal thing that folds out under the back seats for about $21.5K. Sticker was $32,029. As for gas mileage, although the vehicle is still new, I averaged 16.5 mpg with my 4.7 on a 225 mile trip. I was also averaging about 80 mph with three bikes mounted in my bed.
