Nice truck! I am a new Ram owner myself as of a month ago. Not to make you feel bad and I don't want to come across as rude....but I paid $21K and got a new 2004 Ram Hemi Sport that stickered at $31,500 w/ rebates. I'm not saying that to brag, but are the prices of vehicles in California just more expensive? Aside from that, hope all goes smoothly and glad to see that your researching your vehicle on this site before purchasing. Oh,yeh, my only advise is to consider the price of gas! I live in Atlanta and $1.80+ (this week!!!) at 15mpg makes me cringe. Although, I have no regrets...I love my truck!

Damn 21k for a new HEMI! Hell yeah i feel bad. Is a sport edition? Thats sound like a killer deal. Can any California buyers help me out and tell me if this is a good price avg price. In KBB it retails for a liitle over 24k. Is fuel consumption alot different from the Hemi to the 4.7 V8?

I don't know why we have to scroll...I have to as well....hopefully just for this thread alone. Anyway, that's a good question about the 4.7L vs/ HEMI. I'm sure someone here can help you out with that question...you may have to post a new thread. As far as your deal goes....it's still a good deal b/c that truck has low miles and remember you have a powertrain warranty of 7years/70K miles.

The difference between the 4.7 and the Hemi...is about 2 mpg. The cost difference is about 1 to 2 grand...at least here in Tracy Ca.

I think the msrp for the QCab 4.7 SLT is about 24g's...with dealer mark up its around 28g's.

Well after doing some more research and speaking with a few people ive decided not to persue this truck. I didnt want to be disappointed with the power of a 4.7 so im savin for a HEMI or at least a 5.9. Although i really liked the truck and all the options it came with. im better saving. Hopefully by the end of October ill sportin a new HEMI

aepHEMI -

This is sorta of off topic, but where in Atlanta are you? I'm in Kennesaw and the local traffic kills my gas milage. I'm very happy when I get 15mpg, but I don't get many highway miles.
